Steve a.k.a. Asymmetric and Kirsty Morris first came together in the summer of 2005, purely by accident and thanks to close friends. Both had been working separately on their own solo projects for roughly 13 years. but never really finding the right people to work with.
After a while of creating in various projects they started to realise what potential the music would have if only they were to put our minds together and collaborate, so they took the step in spring 2005 and "Life Audience" was born.
This musical journey grew at a steady pace, and each found their feet in what they wanted to bring out in the music......the journey that it is! Messages and questions of life... who am i? why am i here? whats it all about? and who am i in relation to everything else? lifes wisdom! Reflecting sprirtuality, experiences had, and lessons learnt. that is the fuel and the inspiration behind their music.(Cinamatik).


"Musically Life Audience for us is about those moments you get in life, like when youre sitting on a park bench in the summer. You have your music coming through your earphones and theres people all around you ... its like you step out of yourself into another world.
The clouds, the faces, the air about you changes. You have your own personal movie playing ... and it takes you somewhere else. Its those moments we base Life on. Its about all of your past and present experiences, emotions and journeys all in one. Its about you, in relation to your self and the world about you. The journey you choose to take through life. The people you see and influence without even realising. Its about stepping into a different consciousness ... losing yourself ... and finding it again! Thats how it makes us feel" and if we can make other people feel the same, even but for a moment, then weve accomplished what we set out to do. Music connects the divided. there is too much segregation in the world, when ultimately we are all the same. we all sleep, and dream, eat, clean our teeth, we just need to realise this... Music creates bridges instead of boundaries! thats what we ultimately want Life Audience to do.....

If you’re familiar with Morcheeba and you’re listening to Life Audience’s new CD, Waves and Particles, you will undoubtedly find similarities between the two—loungy, on-the-rocks-cool backbeats and grooves that twist and float like expensive cigarette smoke, topped with undeniably sexy, Billie-Holiday-edged, come-hither female vocals. Or, at least, you’ll try to make these comparisons but you’ll probably be much more occupied with the fact that you’re melting into your chair, becoming nothing more than a big puddle of happily relaxed goo. That’s the overall effect of Waves and Particles: you will absolutely chill right out, and you’ll have a good time doing it. Steve Gridley and Kirsty Morris are a sub-dynamic duo effortlessly dripping their way into your ears with deftly and deeply built layers of soothing, sensuous sound. Let me go into somewhat uncharted review territory (for me) here by saying, flat-out, that if this CD doesn’t make you want to fuck, you’re already dead. Aphrodisiac applicability aside, there are tons of little touches at work here that give Waves and Particles a lot of depth and personality. The vibraphone melody playing across “Sunday Morning”; the gorgeous guitar work from Morris that informs “While the Sun Was Sleeping” and especially “Blue Skies Indeed,” an instrumental track where an easy folk guitar finds itself tripping through a funky electric backdrop from Gridley; the lazy warble over slow piano chords and a simple snare beat in "Buddha Wears Headphones." And then there's Morris’ creamy, dreamy voice easing and oozing across Gridley's electronics on some tracks, making this disc one you just need to come back to. She’s got phrasing (check out “You Got Me Movin”), she’s got attitude, she’s got that little edge of knowing vulnerability that seems to define so many classic jazz singers. Track after track, Waves and Particles offers up deep sounds, thoughtfully constructed and absolutely addictive. I can't stop listening to it. Which makes it a Hypnagogue Highly Recommended CD.

We like anything thats makes us feel good, anything thats chilled and that grabs us and shifts us to another place, just for that moment. if it dosent make you tingle, then whats the point right? there are so many influences for us and they are all different, plus we`d prefer it and appreciate it if you would listen to us with fresh ears.
