If Frank Zappa's Mothers of Invention procreated with Bruce Springsteen's E-Street Band and raised their child on Indie Rock, Lifeguard Nights would be that child.

Lifeguard Nights was founded in the summer of 2006 when Vincent Brue disbanded The South Jersey Seashore Lifeguard Convention Band and started recording at home. Since then, Lifeguard Nights has been writing and recording non-stop, amassing close to a couple hundred songs and a dozen albums.
For the most part, Lifeguard Nights albums are entirely written, performed, produced, engineered, mixed, and mastered by Vincent Brue. Two Lifeguard Nights albums, however, were taken into the studio and performed by a real live band. “The Church of Song” was recorded in July of 2007 at Retromedia Studios in Red Bank, NJ and released by NJ-based label Headshop Records. The standout single “Amen” was nominated for Song of the Year at the Asbury Music Awards, and a successful tour of the West Coast followed. The year culminated in a stellar performance at NYC’s famed Bowery Ballroom, and then it was time to head back into the studio to record the sophomore full-band album. That effort, titled “Punch Sky,” was released by Headshop Records in September of 2008, and expanded upon the mostly-live sound of “The Church of Song,” incorporating horns, intricately layered vocals and a greater emphasis on song structure and sharper lyrical content. So far, reviews have been incredibly favorable, with “Punch Sky” being named one of the top albums of the year by BlowUpRadio.com.
The band recently finished up a massive double-album, "The Miss Factory, Volumes 1 and 2" which will be digitally released in June, and has begun rehearsing a whole set of even newer songs with a vastly more kick-ass sound to them. Keep an eye out for Lifeguard Nights all over the eastern seaboard this summer, it just might save your life.

Likewise. I saw your band's name on flyers with hrny wrms, and on the no use for humans page, and been listening for a while. I'm picking up what you guys are putting down.
Hey Vince! It's Lis...the intern from Buchwald you haven't seen in years and years. I just moved near GBM and was planning to go tonight, and now I see that you're playing. Randomly cool, eh? So we'll possibly see you tonight. Cheers! ~Elisabeth
