Life Illusion was started out by Golgara in the spring of 2007. Time passed by and an album was written.
Golgara started to rehearse with guitarist Berkis for the recording of the debut album. Life Illusion entered the studio in December of 2007. While recording Golgara found Berkis not suitable to handle the guitar and bass, so it ended up with Golgara handling most of the instruments himself.
After some trouble finding a singer for the recording Golgara asked his old time friend Skorrgh (Fall ov Serafim, Vandöd, ex- Misteltein) to lay down the vocals for the album.
He also asked his friends Snöstorm (ex- Ishtar) and Zarathustra (Prosecutor, ex- Vandöd) to lay down some guest vocals on some tracks.
The album was finished in February 2008 and not long after it was released on tape, by Swedish label Inner Voice Records.
After some trouble finding a suitable label to release the album on CD, Life Illusion signed a deal with Mexican label Black Saw Productions to release the debut album. The album was released March 16th 2009.
