Life In a Foxhole was formed by Jordan Doyle and Tyler Osborne in November of 2008 as a grindcore band. Shortly afterward they were joined by Matt Awalt and began playing shows in the Southwest Virginia area. In spring of 2010, they completely reordered how they approach music in what they believe is a much more cohesive, wonderful way than their previous contributions. They aim to make innovations with the talents and means they have achieved, and hope to direct something pleasing to the listeners' ears as well as their own. With their new music, they aim to be able to play anywhere; whether acoustically on a street corner, or with full use of abundant electronics. The Name: Life In A Foxhole comes from Song of Solomon 2:15. "Catch for us the foxes, the little foxes that ruin the vineyards, our vineyards that are in bloom" Foxes in this sense are the little sins in our lives that ruin us; our vineyards. Our world is full of these sins; a foxhole. Life In A Foxhole is our story as we live and deal with this world of sin.
