THE "OPENING SONG" ON THE THE SITE PLAYER IS A "DEMO" SAMPLE OF MYSELF and LEE STARR (Fender Stratocaster), IN CASE YOU MISSED US AT THE King Billy + The Duke of Cumberland SPRINGBOARD MUSIC FESTIVAL?.................................................. SONGS No2 and No4 HAVE BEEN "RE-MIXED + RE-UPLOADED" TO BRING OUT MORE "TIMBRE and VOLUME" TO THE VOCALS, AS YOU WILL HEAR.... That's the problem with recording and mixing everything yourself... Apart from me getting sick of hearing my own voice, I found myself inadvertantly lowering the vocals too much, then rushing the quickly mixed versions into the hullvibe Mp3 chart, amidst annoying PC malfunctions.... and then people would say.. "We can't hear the vocals properly !!" - So I've replaced my PC and made a few adjustments, and... NOW YOU CAN HEAR MY VOICE !!........... Also, at last a professional Roland G800 Workstation has been added for future performing and recording purposes, (I'm currently frowning my way through the manual !!) and the repair or replacement of the vintage Yamaha V50 is close at hand too - BIG IDEAS WITH BIG SOUNDS ARE LOOMING ON THE HORIZON....!!!
As with the vast majority of "Original Song Performing Artists" - Music and singing is essentially a "Hobby" and like most elaborate hobbies, personal time and costs are incurred to the participant(s), and believe me I am on an unpredictable "Construction Industry" income. I have little faith in laying out "hard earned" money in anticipation of optimistic CD sales..... When public spending is currently so conservatively cautious, in a financially struggling and "overcrowded digitalized entertainment world" - As a musician "hobbyist", it's far more inspiring to know that as many people as possible have my music "on hand" - simply to listen to..!! - However, there will be a LATE SUMMER 6-SONG (Limited Collectors Edition) CD, available around "Cost Price" in addition to the free downloads....... SO LISTEN OUT CD COLLECTORS..!! - THERE HAD ALSO BEEN THE ADDITION OF "LEE STARR"(Guitar) and "SOFI ONG"(Backing Vocals) during the recording of the Amsterdam Song, and of course Lee paired up with me at the 2009 COTTINGHAM FESTIVAL and the GREEN DRAGON (WELTON) FESTIVAL-(2nd one coming soon... Aug 30th), which proved to be a real success !! (Lee is the son of an old school mate of mine... Hmmm, I think I’ll put a little story of mine here as the way to say hi…uhmmm, which I think I already did:). Anyway, I'll let The Hedgehog loose:
Ok, a bit hung over, so I decide to take out the trash in order to do at least something productive for a change. A small step for a man and damn sure for the mankind too!
So I open this door that leads to the shed where the trash cans are, and hmm.. what the heck is that supposed to be on the floor!?
There is this small, empty 2 decilitre carton of cream, sure, but the spiky thing hanging out of it keeps me puzzled for a few seconds.
I can feel a smile slowly growing on my face when I finally start to get it! A hedgehog, not much larger than the carton itself is half way in it trying to get what's remaining of the cream. And probably went there too at the same moment I opened the door and is now too scared to move at all.
The hedgehog probably doesn't know the fact that I actually CAN see the rear end of it:).
I find myself stairing at this very curiously for another few seconds until I can see the hedgehog's center body move from breathing and the poor thing making this "phww"-sound, probably "Ok man, I give up!" in Hedgehoguese.
After this I realize that I probably distracted a special moment for this little fellow, so I leave him be to go about his business. Animals are funny:).
Good effort with your recordings, you've got them sounding good. Did it take you a while to do? could really do with getting some good recordings done but not sure were to start...any suggestions? Plus tard WW & CG
eye, ive been reading up on in quite abit, im making a home studio so i thought id take it that step further, i suppose the hard bit is getting the "industry" contacts, you know to release say on iTunes and things like that...see how it goes, ive been getting alot of tips and messages so its been helpful! thanks..
