It all began in a Baptist church on the North side of Austin, Texas, circa 2006. We had a regular worship band gig, and almost every week we played cover tunes from Christian artists like David Crowder, Chris Tomlin, and Matt Redmond. As a band, we felt proud to be a part of an important part of our ministry.
But as circumstances suddenly changed and God led in new directions, in 2007, the band decided to make a shift from the worship service setting and break new ground by writing our own songs. So, in the church parking lot, one fateful night after rehearsal, we became Life On Loan.
As we set out to develop original material, we were met with some major challenges--namely two: the band lineup changed radically, and we were left sans bass player. But we kept our wits about us and our faces pointed forward. In the interim, with the stench of our endeavors ever driving us on, we came to an oasis. There we picked up a little song called "Letter to God"-- as well as a friend who gracefully lent us his time on the bass guitar.
Now, with a few notches in our belts, new tunes, and a killer new bass player (who has, himself, already earned 3 banana stickers), we've got sound coming out the ying yang---and we're coming to get ya!!
