Rock to Cure was founded in 2006 by friends and strangers with the goal of organizing a benefit concert to raise awareness and promote support for cancer research.
After a successful first year, the leaders decided to seek official recognition as a student organization from SUNY College at Oneonta.
With the support of the campus community, Rock to Cure has become a nonprofit student club and RAISED THOUSANDS for various organizations such as the American Cancer Society, St. Jude Children's Research Center, Rock for Darfur, and the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
After our first academic year as an official club at SUNY College at Oneonta, we were awarded BEST NEW CLUB from the Student Association for 2007-2008.

In a relatively short period of time, Amped 4-A-Cure has achieved incredible momentum and growth. All summer long, the Amped 4-A-Cure team has been hitting the road, working hard to get the word out...and it is working. We are proud to announce that the organization is featured in The Source Magazine. Please check out our full page psa on pg. 12 of the October '09 Issue. The Source is available nationwide at all of your major retailers where magazines are sold.
Amped 4-A-Cure is dedicated to raising as much money for cancer research as possible. Will you help? Currently, we have T-Shirts available for pre-orders as well as other merchandise available.
