started in the summer of 05. myself and friends desided to start having concerts for friends and thats about it. now i record in the basement with nice and friendly and us 2 and patrick play shows with other random person.

The Giving Tree Band	Aug 20 2007 7:28 PM Good tunes Matt (:PEACE&LOVE:) UNIFIED FOLK THEORY, is now available. It contains 33 original acoustic songs of The Giving Tree Band on two CDs. This double disc was manufactured in the most environmentally friendly manner currently possible using the highest recycled post-consumer content on the market and nontoxic soy ink printing at the wind-powered studios of Earthology Records. The paperboard cases feature custom illustrations by local Chicago artist Ania Klimiuk (www.aklimiuk.com). Ten trees will be planted for every 1,000 units to absorb any CO2 gases created in the manufacturing and shipping process. Also, two dollars from every sale will be donated to Hand In Hand USA (www.handinhandusa.org), a non-profit organization for humanitarian aid, which serves one of the most impoverished regions of India.
