About me: There is a great sign outside of a school near my town that says, "Change is inevitable. Growth in intentional."
Clearly Einstein forgot change is right with death and taxes.
It's been a long time since I last really change my about me and with the new background (ok, so I've had it for months but I had another one for longer and this one has WAY more meaning) should come a new about me.
I love God. I love people. Both are the most interesting things on and/or involved in this planet. In our lives, these are the two things that have the greatest effect on us outside of our own choices. Even then, how these things affect us and how we interact with them go to our choices...sort of.
You can't avoid people. You need them to survive. You can go ahead and argue but if you're reading this you are, in some way, interacting with me, another person. You have to buy groceries. People. You have to get money. People. People are completely intertwined in all of our lives and the question is: how do you interact with them? Do you really try to fulfill the second greatest commandment, which is to love people as yourself? Or do you just go along, doing whatever you want to whomever you please?
This brings up another point: how do you feel about yourself? Do you see yourself as less than, more than, useless to or irreplaceable to the people around you? How do you compensate for however you feel about you?
However that is is however you will treat the people around you. If you don't love yourself, can you really love other people? Can you have true compassion, true empathy for someone in true pain (which we all feel regardless of your self-image) if you don't know or don't choose to love yourself?
Is the root of this the understanding that God loves you?
Stop thinking that God hates you. That God has issues with you.
God loves you.
He has peace with you.
He offers you that peace.
How do you interact with this gift, this offer?
Your choice will directly affect your entire life.
Acceptance or denial.
Those are the choices we all have.
Take the offer or leave the peace in His hands, never accepting it into your life.
This is all about you and all about me.
As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.
And this page, all of you that read this, these lines of text that are saved into a server somewhere in the world are witnesses for me and about me about this decision that I have made.
That is life and love and everything.
That is the ultimate reality.
And that, the gift, the offer of God is where it all begins.

Hello Everyone! I am so excited to be home now. I had a great time in Jamaica, and I think that some of you need to come with me next year. Anyway, I am looking forward to this week and everything that is going to happen.
This is just a reminder about Empower night. I have noticed over the last couple of weeks that attendance has been low. I just want to encourage you to come out on Wednesday night. This is time to learn more about God and to also hang out. We have 3 different classes to get involved in. So try to make it out this week. I hope you all have a great week. I am praying for you.
