Lightnin' Jim Pates is a singer/songwriter of over 40 years during which time he has become an accomplished exponent of virtually all styles of playing. Whilst in the halcyon days of the late 60's and early 70's rock music was the order of the day, Jim has touched on classical, country and western, jazz/ragtime and a wide variety of popular music before "coming home to the blues" over the last few years.
Tilly on the other hand is just starting out as a singer. She realised she could sing 2 years ago and has tried various styles from jazz, rock, pop to chamber choirs. Tilly is still experimenting with her voice but is drawn to the blues because of the obvious influence from her father, lightnin' Jim.
