About me:
We at LightSabersNYC are NOT Star Wars fanatics. Sci-fi geeks, yes, but not fanatics. We simply enjoy revelling in our creative impulses, and of course, play-combat with compactable plastic swords is awesome. Totally awesome.
We are gamers, people who like to play. The idea that running and jumping and active games are only supposed to exist in childhood and in the parks and playgrounds is preposterous. The city is our playground. Childhood is subjective. Let's play. LightsabersNYC games are elaborate versions of lay-combat combined with Capture the Flag in urban settings. Read the rules in BLOG for more.
A long time ago, in a nation far, far away, men of honor, nobility, and sworn to a moral code, wandered the streets with swords at their sides, ready to defend the name of all that is right and just in this greed-twisted world.
Call them Samurai, call them Jedi Knights, there is no reason why these Warriors of Justice cannot wander the streets of Gotham.
They are exactly $9.74 at Toys 'R Us in Times Sq. They come with a convenient belt-clip, in your choice of Blue, Red, Green or Purple. Wear your LightSaber as a badge of office. Wear it with pride, yet also, humble peace of mind.
Prepare to meet any other who has a saber at his side, to either bow in honor if your colors match. . . or fight to the end if the colors clash.
