There are no safe answers here. I guess hit "play" on the music player and tell us.
Alright Lights began when Kevin(Cosmetic Puffs, Six Volt Amps) hailing form Eureka, CA met Marc in 2005. They wrote some tunes without a drummer for a few months until Beth joined on skins. We practiced in Marc's basement as an instrumental trio until Beth deserted us for NYC in Aug of 2005. Friend Jason took over on drums in Sept and we continued to write tunes without words. Our good friend Paul joined on 2nd guitar in April of 2006, which must have brought us some luck, as Kevin began writing words to our tunes around that time. Stawberries was our first song. We moved out of the basement into Hot L Birmingham to have real practice space. Jason informed us around that time that he was going to leave the band for school. Amazingly enough, Beth had just returned from NYC, wanting to play some drums. We had a few other stragglers along the way, but we were (for about a year) a solid band, playing regular shows around town and recording our music.
Kevin has since moved away with wifey and baby back to California. He was our lead singer and glue so no more Alright Lights. :( Don't stray though... there are more projects in the works. Check back with us!
I edited my profile at MySpaceSupport.com, check out these Myspace Layouts!
We will be taping the show on the 13th for a live album. We are going to be playing brand new material as well as material off of our upcoming album. Come see what's new.
y'all were my soundtrack tonight: i lit a candle for my stationary mystic friends as well as burned some sage in a parking lot slash open field slash graveyard slash park slash volcano as an offering to the goddesses of road trips in general.
anyway, forgive my rambles. sweet sweet sounds though! don't discount the left coast. i think you guys would love it out here.
Man you're working hard. Looking forward to hearing the new songs. I've got some stuff coming but am just trying to work out how best to distribute it when all complete! Digital vs CD.
HEY GUYS! IT'S LAUREN, MELLYS FRIEND. YOU GUYS SEND ME A TAPE AND I'LL PASS IT AROUND TO SOME OF THE BARS HERE IN DECATUR AND MAYBE YOU GUYS CAN COME HERE TO PLAY!! THAT WOULD ROCK!

I think it was our best sounding show too. I love, LOVE the sound there; monitors are very nice things. Cheers to Saylor for keeping us in tune, and cheers to our friends and Zenith Pulse and especially Paul, Beth, and Kevin.
