Soooo, Chris Funk is giving lessons to play the banjo. Because of this OR is the place to live. I mean, just think of it, Funk giving banjo lessons and you could be his student.
So we played at this pirate festival on Saturday... and of course we played mariner's... but we left right after because I had to be at work. Then my friend Chris calls me from the fest and says that the OTHER pirate band playing on the OTHER stage started playing mariner's and that it sounded terrible and he demanded that we come back to the pirate festival and fix the mess they created.
Well. We didn't go back, because we were in a bar drinking free beer (since the bartender decided that we deserved it... as per our costumes) but we totally won that competition in retrospect. Goddamn competative pirates.
Ah! Of course. Sorry I haven't gotten back to you in a while, I was at Mountain Jam this past weekend, and was crazeh busy before hand and am crazeh busy still... Preparing for Solarfest on Sunday. My friend michele and I are playing early afternoon and we're a teeny bit nervous... (: But we decided we're just going to do all D's covers and maintain a "theme" of sorts. Somehow that eases the nerves. Maybe we'll throw in a peter gabriel tune at the end. Who knows. ;D
