Lijn 12 originated in Antwerp in 2004 or 2005. The music is a mix between ambient, noise and industrial. In a movie with subtitles for the hearing impaired we discovered the ideal discription for Lijn 12, Ambient Party Noise.
So after a few months we released our first CDR, simply named Naamloos 1. Since we're Flemish we decided to make only Dutch titles except for the songs that have non-linguistic titles.
At the end of 2007 Lijn 12 released their first full length CDR, named Pleur. It contains the best tracks we made over the past few years (except for 3 track we simply forgot.
Also in 2007 Lijn 12, together with Lorre from Black Metal combo Opus Nocturnales formed Lood Records. A distribution company specialized in underground music from metal to noise, industrial, dark ambient & post rock.
