About me:

Let's see. Quick basics. Yes, my name is Melanie, but I've actually been going by "Meli" for quite some time now. I'm twenty, live in Shawnee, Oklahoma, and work at Braums. If you had to stick a label on me, I guess you would call it Messianic.

I'm studying webdesign on my own until I have enough financial stuff together to take classes. I went to Warwick HS until I moved to OK. I do not have a southern accent. Much. At home.

I'm single and perfectly fine with that. I've got five cats in my household right now, way short of my "crazy cat lady" goal of twenty-two. When the number twenty-two is reached, I shall rename them all, beginning with "Aleph" and moving all the way on to "Tav." Not really... when I move out, I'm probably only taking Jamie with me.

I love dance, music, historical fiction, ramen noodles, gadgets, web design, forums, autumn, and movies. I do NOT like beans, twangy country music, myspace, obsessions, or Nicolas Cage (no, I'm serious).

I am a night owl. It's three a.m. as I write this. In a perfect world, I'd be allowed to sleep from four a.m. until noon and call it a night.

People say I'm a good listener. That pretty much means that I just don't talk as much as they do. I'm not quiet, but I'm not loud. I'm not exciting, and most of the time I'm not boring. I hate posing for pictures. I hate dead space in conversations. I tend to have about two to three close friends rather than a million acquaintances. I've never had one friend I would tell absolutely everything to, and I think it's because I've got a bad habit of looking back and regretting nearly everything that comes out of my mouth.

I've completed one mini-novel and have been working on my current one for about a year and a half, though it's been on hold most of that time. I've read my bible the entire way through twice, and the Torah at least four or five more times. My Torah portion is "Beshelach", which is the one where the Red Sea is parted to when the Israelites whine for food and water.
