'heretofore and wherewithall'. i used to think it was all about design, but right now it's everything. it's become an amalgam of everything i've been exposed to over the years. it's lovely and frightening, to get a little older, to figure out that all the things you thought were fundamentally true might not actually be true, or may only be true if you turn it up-side-down and stop trying. it's uncomfortable and new, and well, it's going to be awesome. i swear.

    I have honestly failed to keep up with any cinematic novelty since 2004, so this list is old: la nouvelle vague (especially rififi, 400 blows, you know, truffaut, goddard, bunuel, et als). joe vs. the volcano. pretty in pink. fight club. requiem. ghost world. citizen kane. hudsucker proxy... any and all teensploitation movies about the president's daughter and how she wants more 'freedom' then the president deceives her by sending devastatingly handsome undercover secret service agent to protect her who, then, ends up inevitably falling in love with her, thus teaching her the truth about trust or some shit. yup. and ones with fantastic candy coated dance scenes.

    24, six feet under, arrested development, family guy, huff, scrubs, sopranos, queer as folk, after school specials, merit-based elimination driven reality television.
