The elegant Brooklyn-based ensemble Likeness to Lily paints intimate portraits drawing inspiration from the worlds of jazz, folk and classical music. The quartet includes vocalist and songwriter Susan Oetgen,pianist Tony Melone, bassist Ian M. Riggs and drummer Evan Pazner. Released in December 2008, Farewell, Recruit contains twelve original songs that document emotional narratives of courage, vulnerability, resignation and struggle to find hope in war-time America.
