You may have never heard of Brent Young but the world will soon come to know of "Lil Cayne", Dallas, Texas’ newest homegrown star storming the streets with a fresh, powerful and energetic sound driven by the syncopated rhythms of the dirty south. While his eclectic approach grabs your attention and makes you listen; Lil Cayne births a style that is so infectious one can’t help but dance or transition into a mode that has you bobbing your head while cruising through the hood.
Born on September 19, 1986 in Dallas, Texas, Lil Cayne was surrounded by music while growing in a household where he got to witness firsthand his brother’s involvement into the music industry which soon inspired him to seek his own destiny in the industry as well. By age 13, his passion for rapping had grown and Lil Cayne soon found himself winning many of the talent contest held at the school. However, unforeseen circumstances had him detouring to help his mother during trying times. The time he was away from music almost made him give it up but after hearing Dallas artists, Mr. Pookie and Mr. Lucci, Lil Cayne's passion and inspiration reemerged.
He started out working with City Life Entertainment and in 2003 he collaborated with D.S.P. (Down South Productions) artists such as Big K and Y.T. In 2005, he joined the roster at Imurj Records and is now leading the pack. In 2007 Lil Cayne did a collaboration with Dallas’ own Lil SOC, to create the unreleased hit “My Click is Buck” . Also in 2007 he penned the song that has now become an anthem for the Dallas Cowboys football team titled, How Ya Feel (Wyde Up!) which debuted during the Packers/Cowboys game played in Dallas. His debut album, "WYDE UP", is due in 2008 with such singles as “I’m Fresh”, “I Want It All”, “Cizzle Iz a Fool”, and “In The Middle of the Floor”. With the energy that Cayne brings the world will have no choice but to feel his presence. Watch out world Lil Cayne is Wyde Up!
