What does LilFest do?
About the House Concerts: Join me, if you will, for the fun and music in the living room. The refreshments provided will be simple and non- alcoholic. Contributions of goodies - homemade, store-bought, your choice of beverages, whatever, are also most welcome, even encouraged, but by no means required. There will be a basket available to support the House's expenses: PR, equipment, refreshments, chairs, repairs and the like, should you choose to do that. Suggested contributions for the artists vary between $12 and $20. Reservations are necessary, please, e-mail (nancy@lilfest.com) preferred. Phone 312-371-2284. Space is limited and sellouts do occur. Doors open fifteen minutes before the show and we are located 4-5 blocks from either the CTA's Linden stop on the purple line or the METRA's Wilmette stop.
About the Open Mic: Sundays at 4:00 PM - Please come to the Open Mike "Your Turn" at Bill's Blues, 1029 Davis Street, Evanston, followed by the Sunday Evening Folk Concerts. Every genre of music and spoken word is welcome. This open mike is particularly fun for the audience, ranging from Irish a cappella to drum soloists, student pianists to cover bands, trad. singers to songwriting guitarists.
