The undeniable power of young black males is inevitable. In this case you have one of the most profound groups. DA KG'Z (Craig Isabelle a.k.a. XVII & Kentrell Bell a.k.a. Lil Hound) are a group who have paid dues for a long time to reach their goal. It all started in 1993 when they formed a group called The Hustlaz. Block party performances set the pace for the group. When Craig heard his cousin (Gregory Spencer a.k.a. Dub-G) was rapping he asked him to join the group. The group changed their name and DA KG'Z were officially on their way. Gregory went out and purchased a sing-along machine and recorded the groups first song (Niggaz Dat Kill) in 1994.
In 1995 they made their first studio appearance with Blaine Ashley, C.E.O. of Big Talk Records. DA KG'Z went into changes when one of the members got into the juvenile system. Craig, Kentrell, and Gregory went on to concentrate on their album but problems surfaced. Kentrell moved to Atlanta for school. Gregory went on wih a solo career and joined another group on the Big Talk lable. Craig had stopped rapping for a while but Gregory convinced him not to let his talent go to waste. Kentrell moved back from Atlanta but Craig went to military camp for 6 months. After Craig came back and DA KG'Z were back there was a small problem, Gregory was still in the other group. He decided to go solo.
Now Craig and Kentrell went on to record their album but ties with Big Talk faded. When news that Gregory had started his own lable (Big House Music,LLC) they reunited. Now with the backing of Big House, DA KG'Z were ready for the world. In 2001 they released "Low Down & Dirty". The album went on to gain regional sucess. Creative differences set the group to solo careers. Lil Hound followed up with three solo album. Lil Hound has made a name for himself and has put a stamp on the coastal regions music scene
