I love History. I love the history of anything. If it interests me, you can bet I know where it came from, and how it arrived there. Theology. I love studying organized religion, gods, myths, what, how, who...anything related to the Divine. History, anthropology, Sociology, psychology, I love it all, theology ties that all together. This is the kind of stuff I read about, for fun. Art! The Romantic period, especially, though I've been getting into the Modern and Postmodern movements, lately.
I love music. Metal was my first real love, and still comprises about 70% of what I listen to, but my tastes run eclectic, these days.
Reading..of course. I read anything that crosses my path, most genres. As long as it's interesting, well written, and a worthwhile read.
I like movies, but blah blah, who doesn't. There's a whole section for that.
I love to cook. I used to cook professionally, but now it's a huge hobby/interest of mine. Like anything I'm passionate about, I read about it, I research it, I'm arrogant about it.
Metal first, always in my heart... I love old metal, thrash, speed, doom, black, death industrial, etc. Some random bands off the top of my head...Anthrax, Slayer, Pantera, Type O Negative, Cradle of Filth, Twisted Sister, Opeth, Amorphis, Iron Maiden, Testament, Carcass, King Diamond, Dio, Alice Cooper, Misfits, Black Sabbath, Ozzy, Manowar,Fear Factory, Skid Row, AC/DC, GWAR, Motorhead, Sepultura, Queensryche, Paradise Lost, Sisters of Mercy, you get the idea. Just fucking metal.
What does a metal chick listen to when she's not listening to metal? Everything else. My "take it easy" playlist has stuff on it like Rush, Pearl Jam, Ray Charles, Johnny Cash, Nick Cave, Voltaire, The Cure, Violent Femmes, Buddy Guy, Bee Gees, Bob Marley, Santana, Lou Reed, Bruce Springsteen, The Doors, Pink Floyd, The Pretenders, Meat Loaf, Billy Joel. I hold a deep, profound respect for music coming out of the 1960's.
Other stuff? I love old punk/ska/rockabilly. The Cramps, Reverend Horton Heat, Blue Meanies, Mudhoney, Black Flag, Social Distortion, Bad Religion, Primus, Pennywise...
There's so much more, but my fingers are cramping, and who really reads all this shit, anyway?
Movies are tough to narrow down. Generally speaking, I love independant flicks, mob movies, older stuff, Tim Burton. A few favorites: Miller's Crossing, The Godfather, Casino, Goodfellas, Pulp Fiction, Clerks, Taxi Driver, Pink Floyd's The Wall, Rocky Horror, American Splendor. Mel Brooks, Scorsese, and Tarantino movies always win. I'm starting to appreciate kung fu movies more...
Life is too short to have my brain spoonfed by mass media. Occasionally, I catch X Files reruns, and M.A.S.H. reruns are the comfort food of my brain. Otherwise no TV. Most television is insulting. .....ok, I'm addicted to Heroes. There, I said it.
Books
Reading right now: Cryptonomicon, by Neal Stephenson. I am so addicted to this guy's books. Finally an author that challenges me. One that teaches me things, without being dry. Fast paced, funny, and smart.
Heroes
I don't really have a lot of heroes. Most positive role models I had growing up sorta vaporized into reality. My Aunt Lynne is definitely one. Highly intelligent, self-made independant woman, with morals of steel. My grandmother, my Babcia. I could say so much about her, but that would take a whole other page. Just thinking about the life she led, and what she did, and who she was, sorta makes me well up.

Some basics: I'm 29 years old, married with one awesome nine year old son. That's the most basic you can get, I suppose.-----
I work random part time jobs, as a panelist in a huge flavor and fragrance company...meaning I sniff and taste things, then answer a slew of questions about those things. It varies from interesting to menial, but it's good money. I also help run my husband's landscaping business. I do the bookwork, and the general clerical shit.-----
I have loads of tattoos and piercings, and am always plotting the next one, and the next one...you get it. The pain is the event, the markings are sweet souvenirs.-----
I love the fall. I also love the winter...spring, summer. Ok, I love maybe the first month of every season. I love the outdoors...I may have hugged a tree or two in my day.-----
I love animals, reptiles, insects... My house is approacing zoo-dom. Spiders are my favorite, I love my babies. I have eleven pet tarantulas, among many other pets.-----
I run a guild, called Out of Hand, in a game called World of Warcraft. Seems minor, but I love my guild, and I love the people in it. The game is a distant second to the people involved. We've been a guild since the game retailed, and we're still going strong.-----
I love drinking, I love beer. I love discovering a new, fantastic import. My current favorites are Belgian lambics and Yuengling Premium. Rum, tequila, cachacha, bourbon...I love mixing and drinking fine cocktails. Heaven is a Makers Mark Manhattan, with two cherries. Drinking and gaming go hand in hand, by the way.-----
I'm married to a Viking, a big smokin' hot fuzzy grouchy Viking. My son is like an exact 50/50 mix between the Viking and I. He's this little metal child, and the absolute grounding center of my life. I don't do one thing, without thinking of him first.-----
I hate: Most people. Messes. Noise. Chaos. Most crowds. Fake. Being underestimated. Mushrooms. My eyebrows.-----
