Here's the latest press that liliputians received in EARNSHAW'S magazine May 2007 issue.
So what else excites and interests me? . . . Making stuff & sewing, cycling along the Hudson River with Lily, exploring NYC, yoga, art, flower gardening, antiquing, shopping, and blogging. I'm an internet junkie and would be lost without my ibook.
I have a serious fabric addiction that is starting to encompass buttons & ribbon. I like tattoos, old ornate architecture, Frida Kahlo's artwork, garden gnomes, kitschy Americana, silver jewelry, burlesque & pin-up girls, bubble baths, cats & dogs, a good cappucino, a cold beer on a hot summer day, and organization with everything in its place.
Music
I pretty much like and listen to all music genres. What's in the current rotation?
Let's see . . . It's pretty eclectic. Here goes - Red Hot Chili Peppers, Frank Sinatra, The Eels, Eric Clapton, Norah Jones, Fiona Apple, Mary J Blige, Johnny Cash, Sublime, Patsy Cline, U2, and Fleetwood Mac.
Movies
Here are some of my favorites (and childhood favorites that I've recently revisited with Lily) in no particular order. American Beauty, Pulp Fiction, Frida, Wizard of Oz, Amadeus, Amelie, Bambi, Meet the Fockers, Sixteen Candles, and True Romance.
Television
Most of my favs are no longer with us (except in re-runs). . . like Six Feet Under, Sex and the City and Will and Grace. The only 2 shows I really like now are Weeds and Entourage.
Books
Before Lily I used to have free time and be an avid reader and devour books.
But now . . . Free time? What's that!?!
Some of my all time favorite books (in no particular order) are: Sandra Steingraber's Having Faith, Peggy Vincent's Baby Catcher, Harper Lee's To Kill A Mockingbird, Ann Rand's The Fountainhead, Caleb Carr's The Alienist, Arthur Golden's Memoirs of a Geisha, David Sedaris' Me Talk Pretty One Day, Ann Rice's Interview with a Vampire (and most of all of her other books), Sandra Gulland's Josephine Bonaparte Trilogy - The Many Lives and Secret Sorrows of Josephine B., Tales of Passion, Tales of Woe, and The Last Great Dance on Earth, Shel Silverstein's poems, and my favorite childhood book was Scott O'Dell's Island of the Blue Dolphins.

Here's a little about me. I'm a wife (happily married to my best friend Ed for almost 7 years - see the pic from our wedding day), mother of 1, and mompreneur/owner of the children's boutique clothing company liliputians NYC. We live in NYC with our 2 lazy boxers and 1 persnickety cat.
I create funky clothes for babies, little girls and boys and Mommy & Me sets and sell them on my web site www.liliputians-NYC.com and at select boutiques worldwide. The main inspiration for the line is my 2-1/2 year old daughter Lily.
About my designs . . . You'll see a lot of funky fabrics you wouldn't normally see in children's clothing such as pin-up girls, Japanamation, flames, and tattoos to name a few. The flip side is I also like to create vintage inspired designs in sweet retro print fabrics.
My degrees are in art history (and before I became a wahm I worked for a blue-chip Madison Avenue gallery and then in a corporate setting managing some pretty amazing art collections) so you'll see a lot of art themed sets paying homage to my favorites like Frida Kahlo, Andy Warhol, Henri Matisse and so on. So there's a little something for everyone!
Liliputians is a hip, indie clothing label from NYC specializing in custom, boutique childrens clothes. All Liliputians boutique clothing is lovingly hand crafted to custom perfection in NYC. Liliputians offers special designs for every day, unique birthday and holiday outfits, art inspired Mommy & Me sets, trendy appliqued tees, and fun accessories such as dolly barrettes, funky hair clips, and hair flowers. All creations are heirloom quality, limited editions or even one of a kind. For hip babies, little girls & boys, and mommies too!
