Lili Refrain is a guitarist, composer and performer based in Rome-Italy. Since 2007, she has a solo project in which she uses electric guitar, vocals and loops in real time, without using any computer or pre-recorded tracks. Her songs are created by overlapping sounds that combine minimalist repetition to folk, psychedelia, blues, rock, epic metal, lyrical opera and guitar virtuosity. Her masterful technique and her refined taste, lead the listener through the maze of Shippinghead, an unforgettable act beyond the boundaries of any genre. She produced two albums that recived excellent reviews by music magazines and webzines: "Lili Refrain", self-produced in 2007 in handmade copies, and "9" released in 2010 by Trips Und Träume & Three Legged Cat, currently in second press with Trips Und Traume on CD and vinyl after the upcoming sold out. </P> ABOUT HER SECOND RELEASE "9" : </P> Experimental tracks with a respect for the structure, built on a kaleidoscopic crescendo, a bridge between the hard-psychedelic guitar riffing and delicate and sensitive music with a mysterious touch. Imagine Espers jamming with a post-me(n)tal attitude, but with the Southern Lord blackened mood in her mind. ‘9’ is her debut full length CD: all the notes that you hear in the album were created and played by herself. She’s not only a highly trained musician, but a valuable artist as well. Her music will blow up your senses, being both physical and ethereal, expressed by a flowing songwriting. She’s different, open-minded and brave, and her music speaks for herself.
