Lili's Burlesque Revue "Vintage Entertainment with a Modern Twist"
Lili's Burlesque Revue is the Twin Cities' premiere burlesque and cabaret troupe, where the old-time striptease is coy, playful and just a wee bit naughty. The live music and songs are standards you've heard your grandparents sing or originals with a wry vintage twist.
Lili's offers a mixture of the old and the new, serving up plentiful portions of burlesque, cabaret and vaudeville, with a little circus on the side. In a single performance, audiences can experience a delectable smorgasbord of striptease, live music, magic, fire-eating and bull-whip artistry, just to name a few.
Members of the core cast have performed together since August 2003 and in May 2004 officially formed as Lili's Burlesque Revue. The troupe's name is a tribute to burlesque legend and Minnesota native Lili St. Cyr. The troupe has expanded to include a regular cast of 15, a rotating cast of more than 40, and special guests from the U.S. and abroad.

Lili's in the News
Star Tribune
"Lili's is one of Minneapolis' sub-cultural gems"
"For performers, Lili's is a labor of love. For patrons, it's a step back 60 years to Vaudeville's coy sexual tease."
Lavender Magazine
"Props, music, and costuming are used to full advantage, producing playful, sensual striptease that looks nothing like the silicone-infused variety. This is sexy, not dirty."
"The house band... is awesome. Nearly the whole joint breaks into a spontaneous bout of dancing."
The Rake
"The near-capacity crowd, about sixty men and women, yowl and applaud..."
"Lili's is 'the Land of Peekaboo'"
"...the show has an innocent, PG-13 feel. Lili's is a variety show, mixing bawdy comedy, clowning, mildly suggestive dancing, and music."
I just wanted to stop by and wish you a happy Saturday! May the weekend bring you fun adventures, relaxation, and total contentment :)
I was going to go camping this weekend, but this is definitely NOT camping weather. So me and some friends are gonna go check out Dueling Pianos. Those guys are amazing - they can play just about any song that's been on the radio between 1950 and 2005.
Anyways, I wanted to let you know about a show we have @ Station 4 on Friday, October 16th. We are debuting a series of one time only performance art pieces. This one is called "AN OBJECT TO CRAVE". Live music and visuals based on a short story about life, love, loss, fantasy, obsession and death.
Another group of mine, The Magnetrons, which plays an exciting and innovative Livetronica set (i.e. STS9, Disco Biscuits, The Histronic) will also be playing. The night will be full of creative, interesting, high-energy music, good drinks and good times.
Here's the info:
