This title means a lot to me," says JayJay Dailey about his first official mixtape due to release on September 1st 2009. “I have accomplished so much in such little time, and without God, I would have never made it this far. I have been blessed with a lot of opportunities, and this is only the beginning. My journey will continue until I am where I plan to be."....Self-Identity Part 1: The Mixtape includes 21 tracks. Including the my Myspace hits “On and On,” “Defeated,” and "Slow Dance" Which I Collabed With Keri Hilson. The mix tape is slated to be released in late Summer 2009, with the official album, SELF IDENTITY following in 2010. Dailey takes on the challenge of producing, writing, recording and performing a finely crafted selection of contemporary R&B hits combined with Pop and Hip-Hop styling....."SELF-IDENTITY” is basically saying know who you are, and learn from your experiences and lessons that you go through " explains Dailey. "I believe that a lot of people go through and struggle with who they are and who they want to be. I have come to realize that no matter what anyone has to say about you, only God can judge you. I have been through so much in my life, and if it was not for my strength and faith in God, I would have given up. I no longer needed to act or be a certain way just to fit in. I chose to be myself and not depend on what others think of me. As long as I am doing what it is God wants me to do, He will continue to bless me and keep me protected. I am too focused and determined."...."The greatest revenge is the revenge of success"... says Dailey. “I believe in letting God handle my problems. In spite of the doubts, unbelief, and plots against you, continue to rise above it by pursuing your dreams and succeeding in them, then the haters will realize that while they’re still hating, you’re prospering.”....Dailey was born in Germany, Europe on March 22, 1989. After relocating to Cincinnati 10 years later, Dailey graduated from high school and is now pursuing higher learning. “I don’t just want to be looked as a singer, I wanna be known as a role model. My independence pushes me to pursue greater goals, especially when we live in a world where no one really owes us anything. I will continue to work hard until the day God puts me where I need to be” says Dailey.....Performing since 2007, when Dailey released his first myspace hit, “All I Do,” he continued to perform and achieve goals in Cincinnati. On July 1..st.., one of Dailey’s biggest accomplishments was winning the NAACP Act-So 2007 Award for Best Contemporary Vocalist. He performed on the main stage in 2008 giving a tribute to The Temptations along with four other winning contestants from all over the country, which aired on television. Dailey has also won several other events, been featured on mix tapes, and nominated for an Ohio Hip-Hop Award. Passionate and driven about what he does, Dailey’s plan is to stay focused and keep God first on his journey to success...
