I enjoy listening to the Opie and Anthony show every day on FM (check your local affiliate) from 6-9 Eastern, then on XM channel 202 every day from 9-11(ish) AM Eastern. Their combination of frank discussion, comedy and excellent guests is always entertaining. I also like to ride my bike in good weather.
I like to travel, and have been to Germany, Ireland, England, and Japan, as well as eighteen states in the United States, and two provinces in Canada.
Music
Rock, pop and old-school rap are my favorites, but I like country music too.
I am a child of the 80's, so of course I have a soft spot in my heart for New Wave and pop groups of the 80's like Noo Shooz, Crowded House, A-ha, Madonna (pre-90's only), and rap groups like UTFO, Run DMC, and of course the Beastie Boys.
I also like punk, everything from the Ramones to the Sex Pistols, to Green Day and the Ataris. I can take or leave most hardcore bands, however.
I also like to listen to a little classical music if I am in a contemplative mood, and I enjoy Seventies singer-songwriters like Carole King and James Taylor.
Movies
Star Wars, Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi (the 3 newer movies are mostly garbage, by comparison, in my opinion)
Caddyshack, Airplane, the Pink Panther movies, all the John Hughes movies
Television
I'll give just about any TV show a chance to see if I like it; if I don't, I'll never watch it a second time. The one exception to this rule is "reality" TV shows, which I loathe. The only reality shows I ever liked were the first two seasons of The Real World on MTV, which in my opinion were the only "real" reality shows other than "An American Family" in the on PBS decades ago, which doesn't really count because it was intended to be more of a documentary, and The Joe Schmo Show's first season, mostly because all the characters (except for "Joe") were following a script based on being so over-the-top that it was funny.
Books
Just about any hard science fiction novel, including everything by Spider Robinson, Robert Heinlein, Douglas Adams.
This includes the Cyberpunk genre epitomized by William Gibson and Neal Stephenson.
I really am not a big fan of "fantasy" books, which for some reason have taken over the "Sci-Fi/Fantasy" section of most bookstores these days...
I like to read mysteries, providing that the characters are well-developed and it's not just about blood and gore. I also like to listen to books on CD when I am driving to work sometimes.
Heroes
My heroes are, and it may sound hokey to say this, my parents.
