About me:

Mail Order Blood: Yes, there is actually such a thing as "mail order blood". One website that specializes in this apparently is http://www.geocities..... They do not use human blood, but they reassure you that all their animals are of the purest breeds. I have used this service and the taste is slightly different, but animal blood is just as satisfying and filling as human blood.

There are risks with such slaughterhouse blood, as with all blood. First of all, in many places it is illegal for the butcher to sell blood for consumption. This should clue you straight away in that it is not an especially safe practice. Even domestic animals can carry cross-species infectious disease as well as the risk of those diseases often associated with spoiled food (such as salmonella). If the slaughter process is sloppy, partially digested animal food-stuffs can contaminate the blood. This partially digested food is just loaded with bacteria, some of which our body has no clue how to work with. The meat can be rinsed and washed of these bacteria but one cannot do the same with the blood.

..Along similar lines is the risk of a sloppy slaughter resulting in prion contamination of the blood. Prions are infectious proteins that cause "Mad-Cow Disease" among others such as Kuru, Krutsfield-Jackob (more genetic), Scrapie (in sheep) and a multitude of wasting diseases. Generally, the protein only resides in neuronal tissue (brain, spinal cord, etc) but sloppy butchering can cause contamination. The prion its self causes mutation of the bodies natural brain proteins to a non-digestable form. The proteins build up in the cells and causes lysis (breakage) and cell death. This eventually leads to "spongioform encephalopathy" (spongy brain) where you brain is riddled with holes and you begin to mentally degenerate...

Acute porphyria Another disease which perhaps can cause a desire to drink blood, at least in a rare few people like myself, 1 out of 1,000 prophyria patients. A high-carbohydrate diet is typically recommended; in severe attacks, a glucose10% infusion is commenced, which may aid in recovery. If drugs have caused the attack, discontinuing the offending substances is essential. Infections one of the top causes of attacks and requires vigorous treatment. Pain is extremely severe and almost always requires the use of opiates to reduce it to tolerable levels. Pain should be treated early as medically possible due to its severity. Nausea can be severe; it may respond to phenothiazine drugs but is sometimes intractable. Hot water baths/showers may lessen nausea temporarily.

..Hematin and heme arginate are the drugs of choice in acute porphyria, in the United States, the United Kingdom and Canada respectively. These drugs need to be given very early in an attack to be effective. Effectiveness varies amongst individuals. They are not curative drugs but can shorten attacks and reduce the intensity of an attack. Side effects are rare but can be serious. These heme-like substances theoretically inhibit ALA synthase and hence the accumulation of toxic precursors. In the United Kingdom and Canada, supplies of this drug are maintained at two national centers. In the United States, one company manufactures Panhematin for infusion. The American Porphyria Foundation has information regarding the quick procurement of the drug...

Patients with a history of acute porphyria are recommended to wear an alert bracelet or other identification at all times in case they develop severe symptoms: a result of which may be they cannot explain to health-care professionals about their condition and the fact that some drugs are absolutely contraindicated.

Patients who experience frequent attacks can develop chronic neuropathic pain in extremities as well as chronic pain in the gut.This is thought to be due to axonal nerve deterioration in affected areas of the nervous system. In these cases treatment with long-acting opiates may be indicated. Some cases of chronic pain can be difficult to manage and may require treatment using multiple modalities. Depression often accompanies the disease and is best dealt with by treating the offending symptoms and if needed the judicious use of anti-depressants.

Seizures often accompany this disease. Most seizure medications exacerbate this condition. Treatment can be problematic: barbiturates must be avoided. Some benzodiazapines are safe and when used in conjunction with newer anti-seizure medications offer a possible regime for seizure control.

Why anyone would want to go through the pain of these diseases is beyond my comprehension!!! You dumb fuckers have no idea what this is truly like you only seem to want to believe in your entertainment. To those of us who suffer,these diseases are NOT romantic and suffering with this is no fun...

If you do have symptoms of any of these illnesses, then see a medical professional. Its time to grow up babies and get your heads out of the fictions.
