Lil Mook aka “Carlton Jackson” is an all around creative hip-hop artist. He is recognized by his universal music skills such as, Writing his own lyrics, writing for others and also just the way how he comes different styles and flows on each track. Within the past 2 years he has dropped 3 mixtape’s in his local area and gave out 10,000 copies just to get his face card right and let people know he has talent with his music. With his newly released mixtape Bred 2 Get Bread which dropped on April 10 2009 and he locked down the local are and his fanbase is growing throughout Alabama. Mook was born and raised in Opelika, Al where he lived for 17 years. He has been writing and recording music since 2000, freestyling in the lunch room and the class room separated him from his classmates. when he was a just 13 He would stay in the studio recording and writing until 3 and 4 am, But he didn’t release his first cd, until January 27, 2007. He received a write up in the Urban Underground Magazine and started doing shows around his area. Mook’s latest cd Bred 2 Get Bread is quickly selling in Alabama. The cd contains 20 of Mook’s original style and is own sound that separates him from other artist. With the help of Myspace he is selling mixtapes all over the globe and good feedback is all he gets. Also Mook sent his single “Shoe Game” to the local radio station hot 105.7 and it has been in rotation for 6 weeks. The radio is helping him grow his fanbase and promote him up and down the coast. He has been performing since a teenager. Some groups he has opened for, Lil Boosie, Webbie, Ying Yang Twins, Gucci Mane and Plies. A Lil Mook Headline show draws an average 300-500 people in the city of Auburn, Montgomery and Birmingham. Mook can pack 100-500 people depending on the state and the city. Mook’s live appeal continues to grow especially in Alabama where his shows have gown more turbulent with an entertaining performance. It’s all about the fans and Mook already has a small army of followers waiting for everything he has to offer.
