About
Matthew John Murphy (Born April 23,1990) better known as the self proclaimed Prodigy Of Crunk & one of the last remaining pioneers of the hip hop sub-genre Crunk since the mid 2000's. Most recognized for his Nu-Style Crunk/Rock & Dirty South hybrid he created called Hectic Music.
Early Life
Lil Prince was born and raised in Queensland, Australia & attended Balmoral State High School, He Currently works for and produces for Gwap Boy Ent/M.M.T.D
Lil' Prince was inspired to make music while attending music class in high school, although never passing music in high school due to the lack of enthusiasm and momentum to learn other styles, he always loved to get on the keyboards and play with the sounds.
"I remember sitting down watching Hustle & Flow and the part in the movie where they all have that jam session making whoop that trick, yeah that was when i started getting into crunk music, before that i was into all that movie type music, I could never really make a mainstream track that anyone could jump on, it was too complex and mainly just got me no-where cept a few guys wanted to krump to em, all my old beats wont ever be released to the public, its too embarrassing" cited Prince.
"I chose Lil' Prince after a lot of different titles, i remember a few like Lil' Smurf, Yung Prodigy, Crunkest Youngin all them make me laugh, i guess i chose Lil' Prince cause i think of my music is rich like royalty and wanted to showcase it"
He was signed to local but now defunct record label Gospel Connections run by Rnb/Soul Singer Andrew Stone but due to money conflict's Prince chose to pursue an indie carrier. After many disappointing opportunities he started remixing popular songs of the 2000's mainly crunk artists like Lil' Scrappy's infamous retake of the popular N.W.A song Gangsta Gangsta & Lil' Jon's Put Yo Hood Up remix to get his name out into the internet the same way as many of today's artists do such as Soulja Boy, Lilly Allen & Tila Tequila
After many years and hours remixing tracks he decided to work with real artists to get his name out there so he can be known for more then just remixing
His first artist he worked(s) with is Kay Jay of Briccmade Records after Kay Jay (Kevin Johnson) sent a message out to Prince asking for a helping hand, Prince saw major potential & he started producing several hit songs for him such as "Keepin It G feat D-Boi & Ray Ray", "Can't Help Myself", "F*ck What Ya Heard feat D-Boi" & "Take What's Mine feat Lo-Key & Whodie"
Still wanting more, he decided to go and ask artists if they need beats, he found several different artists such as Dem Scrapper Boys which he produced primarily for member Lil' Swisher, Spec-T, Kron Priest, Grafiti Boyz, Jessi Malay & Lil' Spike
After some beef between Lil' Swisher and Prince, Prince chose not to continue there business relationship and both parted ways.
Now its the other way with artists coming to him since now that he is Signed to Gwap Boy Ent & Money Makin Thought Of The Day run by C.E.O Frank"FB"Burrell he is getting placements on Blackwall Street (The Games Label), to Ice Age (Mike Jone's label) to Dirty Ent (Nelly's Label) and many more & currently finishing Productions for Yung Fly & Kay Jay's mixtape/album respectively
