Keyboard player Lily Sazz has been a professional musician since 1985. She is the musical director and keyboard player for the highly-acclaimed Toronto Blues Society Womens Blues Revue, an event which has grown from grass roots to full concert theatre sold-out crowds, and co-presented by CBC Radio's Saturday Night Blues. Lily has shared the stage and recorded with a who's who of Canadian performers and is active on several committees, including the Juno advisory committee for blues, and is a long-time member Toronto Blues Society Musicians Advisory Council. The Worldview website just launched this week and we're trying to get as many people as possible to be part of the word of mouth campaign. The new site is a coalition of child sponsorship organizations and 16 international bands and singer/songwriters united against child poverty.
You can check out the site at worldview.ca and if you think it's worthwhile, tell your friends. There are also lots of tools on the “get involved” page to help you spread the word.
Some of the poorest children on the planet are counting on us to pull this off. Please do what you can.
Sorry for the mass comment but I just want to fill you in!
I've got a new record coming out!! I've been working on "Can't Let Go" for a long time and it's gonna be in stores in Canada on June the 5th so check it out! The single "11:30" was sent to radio last week so keep an ear out and request it. Hear it and a few other new tracks on my profile... "Can't Let Go" is available NOW on CD Baby.com and through iTunes soon.
I'll be having a CD release party on the 16th of June at the El Mocambo in Toronto. I'll have the full band and we'll be playing the new record live. Also, my good friend Mike Evin will be opening. Come down and join my party!!
Happy New Year, my dear friend. I remember ringing in 2006 with you and a wonderful group of friends, including our lovely and talented hen-pal Tiffany Thompson, when I was "home". What a joyous and memorable evening that was - at a time I needed a lot of TLC from good-hearted people. Thank you!
Reconciling and reconnecting with you after all those years is one of the greatest gifts I've ever received. Thank you for your open heart, your forgiveness, and willingness to let me back into your life.
I love seeing the photos of Groove Corporation on your site, as I was there at the Pepperjack with my niece Jessica the night they were taken. Can you believe my Jessie just turned 21? I was proud to take her to see your hot band!!! The last "date" Jessie and I had was Disney on Ice. LOL I'm not kidding! How the years fly by!
Love and light to you and Paul. Hope to see you soon. Brenda
Thanks for the add, Lily. We had a blast at the Summit this weekend. Did we meet there? If not I'm sure I saw you play or something. You look too familiar!
Lily, thank you for the add!
Keepin the blues spirit alive!
I am hopeful you liked "People Talkin" and "Little Mama"
Be well, happy, and peaceful!
