Last but not least, Vietnamese women for their resilience...think about it, a lot the men in Vietnam really don't do anything but go waste time and resources at the coffee shops, cheating on their wives, or just stay at home while their wives are out there figuring out how to make a living in an underdeveloped country...What is wrong with this picture...and that is why I really admire and appreciate Vietnamese women for putting up with with the culture/societal expectations!!! |

About me:
Some call me Hieu, some call me Lilly but either one I'm still ME :-) I'm a Midwest gal at heart...my curiousity for life had magically pushed me to California, where I've had the privilege to meet great people, make wonderful friends, work for one of the most amazing women and of course - be myself and allows me to discover my passion in life.
I admire hard working people, self-less characteristics, and loving/giving hearts. I love Vietnam, the culture, the history, and the "tình quê huong". Colonial times and wars had torn my country apart. With all the sacrifices that we had to endure, I believe the Vietnamese people deserve better living conditions. It is in my heart, I hope in this lifetime I will see a democratized Viet Nam.
I'm very much inspired by the 4 lines below:
