LINCE

Born in the Eighties in Madrid, Spain, and based since 2009 in Berlin, LINCE is an electronic music composer and DJ.

LINCE´s music embraces an interest about misterious, sensual and melodic music, from slow, introspective works to sophisticated club music. Big musical influences can be considered from the bands he was listening to as a teenager- especially the Cocteau Twins, Siouxsie & the Banshees or Nico-, to the deep impact that advanced electronic music made on him when he attended for the first time events like the Benicássim Festival or Sónar, becoming a fan of bands like Isan, .Tape., Thomas Fehlmann, Silvania, Jan Jelinek, Claro Intelecto, Roman Flügel, Fennesz or Broadcast, and the works of labels like DIAL, 4AD, Kompakt, Karaoke Kalk, Monika Enterprise, Raster Noton, Anticipate or Miasmah, among others.

He started to create music in 2003 and from 2004 to 2009 combined his studies on Political Science with the composition and production of his first music pieces. During those years, he attended underground parties and clubs of Madrid and started to give DJ gigs. Just after graduating in the summer of 2009, LINCE moved to Berlin to develop his art projects. His first LP, "GOLPE DE LUZ"- a collection of slow, intimate and nostalgic songs recorded between 2007 and 2009-, would be released in autumn 2009. Since then, he made a collaboration with the US experimental artist Zan Hoffman [The Twists And Turns Of The Loved And Hated C - ZH27, 2010] and started to explored new territories- conceptual and formally- for a new LP, while never stopping working as DJ on an avant-garde and uptempo club sound, with whom he takes his love for dance music and most hedonistic side out.

The remix from Jeans Team´s "Cocktailständer" by LINCE was featured on the benefit compilation for Japan of BPM Japan, alongside with tracks by artists like Dominik Eulberg, Pascal Feos, Akiko Kiyama or Gabriel Ananda.

LINCE has given live and DJ shows at places like the mythical club OUI in Madrid- where he was one of the resident DJs between 2007 and 2010-, Stardust (Madrid), Cuántica Festival (Granada, ES), Monkey Town (New York, USA), the Alpha-Ville Festival (London, UK) , and the Klubbers Festival, the Berlin Fashion Week, Ausland or the former Temporäre Kunsthalle in Berlin.
