For those of you, who do not know me, my name is DJ Ricky and I am the producer/owner of the company Linconz Records which is affiliated with LC Productions and Kingston 13 Productions. Many of you might be interested in where the name Linconz Records and Kingston 13 Productions came from. Well to be quite honest, Kingston 13 Productions and Linconz Records all originated from the street Lincoln Avenue in Kingston 13, Jamaica. As an upcoming producer, I wanted to represent the place where I was born and raised. Ever since I was little, music was just apart of me. That was why in the year 1998, I established the recording company Linconz Records. It was not until the year 2001, that Linconz Records branched off into LC Productions and Kingston 13 Productions. As you can see Linconz Records, LC Productions, and Kingston 13 Productions are not companies that were made overnight. They are companies that consists of talent, creativity, originality, and most of all history. From my 11 years of doing music, one of the many frequent questions that I have been asked is, “What are your musical influences?” The answer to that question is, I do not have a specific set of musical influences because I listen to every kind of music. I listen to Rap, Hip-Hop, R&B, Reggae, Reggae ton, Pop, Culture, etc. That is why when you listen to my music you will notice how it is composed of many types of music.
