Influences
Many! I don't sound like all the artists who influence me, but my favorite artists and songwriters include Simon & Garfunkel, Sandi Patty, Amy Grant, and Queen. The lyrics have to resonate somehow, and the singer has to strike a certain chord inside my soul.
This book has had a huge influence on my life. I encourage each of you to get your own FREE copy and try it out for yourself: The Book of Mormon: Another Testament of Jesus Christ.
One of my earliest memories is of singing into my folks' reel-to-reel tape recorder when I was three. I began playing piano at age four, and have loved performing music ever since. I wrote my first melody walking home from junior high on a clear sunny day. I continued to compose throughout my life, but only began sharing my music in 2007.
I am also a novelist and freelance editor, and a very happily married mother of six young children. Steve & I celebrate our 20th anniversary this December.

Seriously, these days just about anyone can make music; but it still takes talent to make GOOD music, and the cream still rises to the top thanks to the likes of CD Baby and JPF.
Speaking of which, I'm not active in their forums, but I've been known to browse them.

I like the laid-back feel of your page. Your music is very accomplished and well-recorded. There are some very neat production tricks that help to add interest here and there. It seems like your vocals could stand to be mixed a little higher in places - I hope you're not nervous of whether they're up to the job or not. They most definitely are! You've got a fantastic voice. :-)
