Influences
The world and its elements are my milk.
Life lead me to guitar when I was 18, but before that came poems which then in turn became songs. I put down my easel and replaced it with more instruments. Then came a wood chisel and a Japanese saw... then the company profile then lots and lots of artists to follow..
Fav artists: First and foremost, Billie Holliday and Ella Fitzgerald. Thank you. AMEN
Regina Spektor, Tori Amos ( female god), Jewel, the most unreal vocalist ever! Tom Waits, Led Zeplin, Guns and Roses, Elvis, Josh Ritter (fuckin amazing live), the Corrs - so great live and Andrea has beautiful energy, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds(I can't not listen to him without bursting into tears),Mammas and papas, the Eagles, Tom petty, Mizz Franklin, Bat for lashes...amazing.... KT Tunstall, Elbow, Gillian Welshe, Kate Rusby, ROSE GERBER - my true true inspiration of the first kind, thank you, aimee mann, Bruce Springstein (only the seeger sessions) so many to name,
I love folk music and the whole movement and thought process behind folk music and all those jazz and blues musicians that will stand the course of time as their music becomes immortal. Pure legends... this industry is a vast one, but hell yeah.
Hi my name is Linda. You will find some tunes up here on the myspace, this a passion of mine. I love to play and make up tunes in the genre of Traditional Irish music and more.
Here's the deal.....I love love love music.... Hand me an instrument and I will try to make some sort of resemblance to noise. My full time job: I work in Good Seed PR & Marketing. It pretty much takes up all of my time. But I'm ooooook with that (o: Naturally I have the bejazuzin patience of a saint as I work with bands all the time. (yes I do deserve a medal) but I love it and at large, most of the time- they rock. It has been suggested that I talk too much and am ever so slightly obsessed with Work. I answer saying I work in PR. .
I spend most of my time on facebook/twitter ( add me twitter/goodseedpr ). I love listening to music, going to gigs. I pay good money for good things, as I find it somehow odd when people buy something for cheap and later complain when its broken.... (o: hmmmmm clever.....I always do try to learn as much as I humanly possibly can and I love trying new food. I hate people who turn up late to meetings and waste my time. It is invaluable, we only live once. I don't like people who drink too much and bullshit too much- they usually go hand in hand. I love all forms of music, from electronica, trad, rock and blues, pop whatever. I wear all shades of converse runners, I love girly 1950's skirts and clothes that match when you don't think they would, but then they just do, aw love when that happens..... . I hate mis match or bright pink hair. I have some songs here that I recorded with some good good friends... perhaps there will be more to come someday but for now, sit back and relax. Cheers for popping by.
please, if you are a band, mail me before adding me. if I don't know you and you don't know me, whats the point in adding me with no intention of getting to know me...just to add up your myspaz mateys list...its stupid. have some cop on. send me a cupla focail, and sure we will see what happens. I love intellegent, funny, charming, ambitious and down to earth people that have something positive to give to the world.
"Oh MY God !" or "this is HUUUGE" are my most used sentences.
