***************************************************** Songwriter Linda M has covered the Artist gamut from International Touring to commercial Licensing for both TV and Film. Now, signed to Los Angeles Music Publisher JAY WARNER, she is focused exclusively on writing for other up and coming Artists, both Label and Independent.
She has Awards from BILLBOARD, SONGWRITER UNIVERSE, The GREAT AMERICAN SONG CONTEST, The DALLAS Songwriter's Association, The UK Singer Songwriter Awards and has collaborated with Billboard Top 40 Songwriter Joel Parkes (8th World Wonder), Canadian Idol Top 4 Finalist Chad Doucette, among other acclaimed Songwriters and Artists.
Linda M writes and records regularly in NASHVILLE and in 2008 won The Tunesmith Songwriting Competition, as judged by top Nashville publishers. Her First Place Song is "Livin Large in a Small Town".
Linda M has cuts with Artists in Canada and the United States. "Can't Let You Go" and "Mamma Says" were recorded by Erin Haley and are in rotation on Country radio.
Music licenses include Warner Bros. Television (DAWSON'S CREEK), MTV/OUT TV's "Chris and John To The Rescue", Clearnet Corporation ad campaign, SONY DIGITAL PICTURES and the feature film "Shades of Blue". Nationwide campus and commercial RADIO PLAY of her first and second album singles co-incided with both X Canada tours.
A sterling live act, Linda M has opened for Kristin Hersch of Throwing Muses, PAUL BRANDT as well as the likes of DON HENLEY, Natalie Merchant, ANI DIFRANCO, Lyle Lovett, SANTANA and Macy Gray all at The MOLSON AMPHITHEATRE Side Stage in Toronto.
She is a nominee with both The Toronto and Ontario Independent Music Awards for Best Female Performer and Best Live Act - Acoustic.
Linda M has appeared at many of North America's leading Festivals including Canadian Music Week, North By North East, MidWest Entertainment Industry Conference in Kentucky, City Roots, Winterfolk and more.
TV credits include appearances on City TV's "Breakfast Television", CMT, Rogers "Daytime", The A Channel, Global TV, Cogeco and the WB Network. Print media Spotlights on Linda M have been featured in CANADIAN MUSICIAN, Songwriter Magazine, CHART Attack and Toronto's NOW and EYE Weeklies. Internationally, Linda M has dedicated fans overseas from a 4 season German Club and Concert Series. On this side of the pond, Linda M has showcased at The Legendary BITTER END and CBGB's in New York City, The Bluebird Cafe in Nashville and Toronto's ultra chic GIBSON Guitar Showroom, The Opera House, Nathan Phillip's Square and other notable venues.
Linda M is a three time recipient of grant funding from FACTOR. The follow up album to "Pretty on the Inside" will be released at some point in time featuring some of Canada's most sought after musicians. For right now, Linda is focusing hard on writing for other Artists.
Linda M studied at THE ROYAL CONSERVATORY OF MUSIC and has been privately mentored by Hit Songwriters from the U.S.

My last day in Ireland and what a great trip! Skipped the trad music to focus on the up and coming. Fanastic variety and great people. The writing is mind blowing. Even got inspired to write a couple of tunes myself.
