i'm not a huge fan of writing about myself but here goes nothing. my name's lindsey and i love life and i love people. i like making everyone feel special. i try to live in the moment, not dwelling on the past, and not worrying about the future. but also being mindful of learning from the past and planning for the future. i'm 26 and i grew up in midland, texas where our president happens to be from, as well. my dad was actually his bible study leader at one point and the first lady was my librarian. i didn't start getting into music until i was a junior in highschool when i moved to austin.
one summer, i resolved to teach myself how to play the guitar. within one week of doing so, i wrote my first song. well, actually, i wrote my first song when i was 8 but i don't really count that. anyway, i started playing guitar and learning the typical praise and worship chords. i kept writing songs and playing in really small ghetto coffee houses and such. i sang on alot of praise and worship teams, trying to get out of my complex of being scared to sing in front of people. and now i do it for a living! God has quite the sense of humor.
i went to school at texas a&m and kept writing, singing, playing, and performing. pretty soon i was booked every weekend singing around the state and trying to study in the car on the way to gigs. i graduated in december of 2004 and went out on my own to try and do music full-time. God totally provided. i felt "called" into full-time ministry when i was a sophomore in college so i took the leap of faith and God has blessed me and sustained me ever since. He inspires all my music and i believe that He gives me all the songs.
i've written over 100 songs since i started and He continues to give me sweet stuff all the time. i'll try to post lyrics as i write them, to my blog page. so anyway, what else does one write on a bio? i play the guitar, piano, drums, and harmonica. i occasionally play the air guitar when no one's looking and i'm listening to avril.
i love Jesus because He first loved me. my music is a way i can worship Him. i asked Jesus to come be my Lord and Saviour when i was 8 and i've been trying to let Him live through me ever since. my music is guitar driven and passionate, dripping with anointing. i can only boast in the cross for that is the only reason i am able to sing.
i live in austin and travel all across the united states with the message of bringing glory to God and passion to people. i think we were created to bring glory to God, so i'm trying to do that through music. i hope this is an expansive bio and that it will suffice in the world of band bios. i only use a band sometimes and its not a set band. i usually just hire musicians that i've played with before. usually its just me, the holy spirit, my taylor 910, and my keyboard. all glory and honor be unto the King of Kings!
