My musical influences are: Otis Taylor, Dottie Rambo(the greatest songwriter ever), Peter Gabriel, Michael McDonald, Chicago, CCR, Dave Mathews, Sting, & YES Barry Manilo (King of the Big Finish) and being from the mountains, I Love Bluegrass... Lyricly, I've been influenced by authors and books: "Driven By Eturnity" John Bevere... "The God Chasers" Tommy Tenny "Jerusalem Countdown" John Hagee "Anointing Fall On Me" TD Jakes "Evidence That Demands A Verdict" Josh McDowell And the latest, "Hell's Best Kept Secret" a must read by Ray Comfort... But mostly I've been influenced by those people who have planted a little of themselves in my life.

Rock Foundation Recording Artist, Lindsey Phillips, is a singer / songwriter with a distinguishing style of rhythmic guitar playing and vocal ability. Lindsey's one of a kind style provides a unique blend of music that must not only be heard but experienced to be fully appreciated. Voted 2001 vocalist of the year by Embassy Music in Nashville and KCCM's 2003 and 2004 "Acoustic Rock" artist of the year, Lindsey's voice is refreshing moving in and out of well-crafted lyrics and melodies that are as enticing as they are intense. Sounds Like It's Americana music. The best description I've heard so far is it is a mixture of Rock, Acoustic, Jazz, Gospel, the whole 9 yards all rolled up into a "Linzified" tonal experience. LOL! Man! I don't know. I get so bored with one thing that I'm constantly switching it up when I'm writing. That's the best part of being a writer. It wouldn't be very creative to do the same thing all the time.
How are you doing? I just wanted to send a humble reminder that the national bestselling Christian book, Carnal Striving Spiritual, is available for secure purchase from my Myspace page, which has links to Amazon, Barnes & Noble and my official website.
The already acclaimed book has been critically reviewed as one of the best Christian books of 2009. Dr. Cornel West, America's most prestigious scholar, calls the book "brilliant and with a bold message." Bishop Hilliard, one of the nation's most prominent pastors, says that the book begs the attention of the reader.
