Lindsey grew up in a small Southern Illinois town where music was a huge part of her life. She spent many late nights down at ther Grandparents' house playing bluegrass and gospel music. In fact, that's where she first learned to play the guitar at age 14. With just knowledge of a handful of chords, she began writing her own songs. She found writing music was a way of expressing her love for God and even working through different struggles in her life.
While in college, Lindsey became a part of a Christian campus ministry at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale. While there, her passion for expressing herself through music increased even more as she became involved in the ministry's worship team. Lindsey was blessed with several friends who also shared the love of music and writing. It was at this time, she felt an evern greater calling to write worship songs. Lindsey believes God was also growing her desire to lead worship. Not to mention, God brought an amazing man into her life while she was in college, whom she married in June, 2005. Lindsey says that her husband has become such an intregal part of her music. "He truly believes in me and sees a gift that I don't always see," she says.
After she and her husband finished college, they moved to Springfield, Illinois and soon had a baby boy. A dream of Lindsey's has always been to record an album. A couple of Christmas' ago, she received what she says was one of the most thoughtful gifts from her husband: studio recording time! All this to say, she has finished recording and now is so excited to have her first real CD.
