| General | My main interests are: reading feminist literature while cooking gourmet recipes and coming up with new schemes to snag myself a rich husband. Preaching about my high moral standard then forgetting all of it once I've had my second wine cooler. Starving myself to fit society's flawed standard of beauty. Pretending to be an expert on any given subject even though I've probably only read half of a Wikipedia article on it. Buying new gym clothes so that I look hot while pretending to work out, but really using the time to flirt shamelessly. Talking about all of my ex-boyfriends and their disappointing "endowment" issues on the first date with a potential new boyfriend. Brushing up on world news from tabloid magazines while waiting in the grocery aisle. Using Cosmo as my sole source of cultural and spiritual insight. Finding new outfits to go with my UGG boots... I have fifty pairs! Planning my reality TV show career, watch your ass Heidi Montag! Declaring: "Thanks, but I'm not going to sleep with you!" as loud as I can whenever a guy buys me a drink at the bar. Talking really loudly on my Blackberry in public places. Watching America's Next Top Model for its incredible emotional intensity. That Tyra is such an inspiration! Getting drunk and taking my pants off in public,(In all honesty, long inebriated diatribes against wearing pants in general is a very regular activity of mine)... Having uncalled for and nearly violent reactions to viewpoints that are counter to my own. Showing off my cultural sophistication by reading such important books like the Da Vinci Code and the Twilight series in public. Thinking about ways I can help the poor and unfortunate while shopping for shoes. Buying candles... My room is a total fire hazard and practically looks like a Roman cathedral, but I'll be damned if it doesn't smell like vanilla! | | Music | Mostly metal, gothic and industrial. Don't let the blonde hair fool you! However, my music collection is pretty damn eclectic. As long as it's super moody and atmospheric I'll like it. Some of my favorite bands: First and foremost Sigur Ros... I'm sorry, but if you can listen to "( )" without being moved you don't have a soul. It's one of only things in this entire world that has ever melted my cold, black heart. They're followed closely by Tool, A Perfect Circle, Nine Inch Nails, Radiohead and Thom Yorke's solo work, Murder By Death, Death Cab for Cutie, Sun Kil Moon, etc. | | Movies | Anything I'm not rendered completely anesthetized by... So not very many. | | Television | Comedy Central and HBO are stunting my mental growth and I don't care. | | Books | Stoic philosophy, tons of books on strategy, religious texts, economic theory and history, dissertations on evolution, evolutionary psychology, political theory, history (mostly from the classical era. I have a raging intellectual hard on for ancient Greece and Rome), poetry, biographies, memoirs, etc. As far as literature goes some of my favorite authors are Kurt Vonnegut, Chuck Palahniuk, John Kennedy Toole, David Foster Wallace, Charles Bukowski, Christopher Moore, Jeanette Winterson, Francesca Lia Block, Phillip K. Dick, Tom Robbins, Robert Penn Warren, Richard Brautigan, and (don’t judge me) the Marquis de Sade. | | Heroes | In no particular order: Marcus Aurelius, Seneca, Zarathushtra, all of the Buddhas, all of the Mahaviras, Jiddu Krishnamurti, Diogenes, Epicurus, the Dalai Lama, Thich Nhat Han, the Marquis de Sade, and so so so many more. |

Creating this profile has less to do with me meeting new people and more to do with the fact that I am an ENORMOUS attention whore.

Who I'd like to meet:
Gentlemen, please include your medical records, a credit report, and five recent bank statements. I will also need a list of your ten favorite books and CDs. No, I don't want to compare interests, (yours are irrelevant), I just want to know if there will be anything worth keeping when we inevitably break up. Let it never be said that I'm not practical or forward thinking! I would also like you to commit your fondest memories in writing --- Then discard them, you bastard! I should be all you need! You come baggage free or you don't come at all! Some have accused me of being an obsessive, jealous, paranoid nut-case but I maintain that these are reasonable demands of any self respecting young woman!
Intrigued? You'd be crazy not to be. As you can see, I'm really just looking for a man who can handle my huge frontal lobes and hyperactive Broca's area!
