Born in Eastern Canada and raised in small town Ontario Lindsay Barr has been concocting musical mixtures and poetry since her early days. In her teens Lindsay grabbed the opportunity to sing with 'PHRO', a touring student Big Band. Which sparked her love for song and performance to a professional height.
Lindsay is now armed to the teeth with her solo debut album 'Devils of Pride' and has acquired an impressive arsenal of acclamations.
As the x-front woman for Folk Funk band The FireWires (Album- Out Of Hunger) and former singer for highly praised Madman Orchestra, Lindsay is no stranger to the warmth of the local spotlight, be it on stage or in the press.
Lindsay has had the opportunity to share the stage with such acts as The Novaks (George Street Festival), Our Lady Peace (Molson Canadian Rocks Concerts) and Sam Roberts (George Street Festival)
Lindsay Barr's original compositions are heavily lyrical, grappling topics of distinct issues, sung with powerful and impressive vocal ability. She is as versitile on her guitar as she is in her notebooks. Barr maintains a monster stage presence which is both dynamic and captivating.
Now based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Lindsay recently released her first Videofact Music Video to MuchMoreMusic for her song 'Riot Queen'.
