I like tennis and wish that I could play it more often, like back in the day. Reading. Trying to freelance write/edit/proofread. Decorating my house. Learning to cook. Listening to talk radio on 104.1. Keeping in touch with my family, and keeping their legacy alive. Making it through each day, one day at a time. Getting enough sleep, but not too much. Staying strong.

I haven't updated my Myspace profile in forever, so here I am! You don't realize how much time a wedding takes up until it's over and you don't have a ton of DIY projects to do. Pete and I were married on July 12! It was a great day, and we were so excited to spend that time with our friends and family. Check out my photos to see a few pics. Right now I feel like I'm a little in limbo. I was laid off from Harcourt in January, and am now working a contract job as a senior editor. It's good, just without any guarantees or insurance. Suddenly I feel a little more grown up. I'm getting back into reading, catching up on the Netflix, and playing some tennis. I'm excited for fall season to start. So for now, things are good, and I'm glad that I can slow down and enjoy things for a change!

Ugh...I just got my bill for my mini surgery...I seriously want to throw up. I've definitely hit my $350 deductible, which totally sucks (having health insurance doesn't though!).
I definitely wasn't planning on this expense this year!
