“You know that look in a fish’s eye when you’re pushing the hook through so that you can cut the barb off? Lion Sized translates that electric tension with eloquent violence on this six-song detonation of wiry punk.”
Jason Heller, The Onion
“On its self-titled debut EP, Lion Sized rips and roars its way through six loud songs of calculated, aggressive, minor-chord post-punk. Recorded live this past summer at Uneven Studios, the disc finds the trio plowing through its material in less than fourteen minutes, without ever sounding hurried or insincere. Indeed, few bands manage to be so profoundly impressive in so little time.”
Drew Bixby, Westword
“The boys have probably heard the Fugazi comparisons, but they’re apt and complimentary. The breathless set barely paused between the taut, squirrely songs.”
John Wenzel, Denver Post
“Josh has some pretty nice dance moves.”

• Josh and Number Three have been in a bunch of other bands, but not as many as Duncan. Endpoint, Guilt, and By The Grace Of God are some of the bands the Louisville, Ky., hardcore veteran has been involved with.
• Lion Sized wraps themes of economics, politics, love, and death into high-energy mini-epics delivered in rapid succession.
• In July 2006, Lion Sized recorded 6 songs at Bryan Feuchtinger’s Uneven Studios in Denver. The resulting EP was released in November 2006.
• Lion Sized is named after a large cat called Angus Levi.
