Liquid Fire is the future. The sextet, consisting of Erik Staxrud (vocals), Eirik Hansen (guitar), Thomas Walle-Hansen (guitar), Morten Finsberg (bass), Mathias Nipen (drums), and Per Olav Lundamo (keys, synthies), particularly stands out due to their extraordinary and innovative music which can in general be described as electronica-influenced heavy rock, marked by catchy melodies, heavy guitars, atmospheric synthies, thought-provoking lyrics, and powerful vocals.
The guys work hard and focused to reach their goals, and are always on the lookout for new inspiration and improvement. What is helping them through the process is that they are not just a band -- Liquid Fire is a full-fledged corporation that works systematically to achieve its goals and to advance as artists. This means that they do not waste their time on drugs and alcohol. There is no “sex, drugs, and rock’n’roll” cliché that is keeping them away from the important things – instead, they characterize themselves through passion, commitment, ambition, creativity, and a strong connection to their loyal fans. They always seek progress and do whatever it takes in order to become the best in every aspect. Therefore the guys work constantly and determined not only in their main tasks songwriting, composing, and live performances, but also in all other band-related aspects, such as PR, booking, web administration, design, and promotion.
After recording their first demo in 2006, they already received massive worldwide response on MySpace and played several successful shows at some of Norway’s most popular concert venues. The band also received a grant from the leading Norwegian newspaper “Aftenposten” to fund the recording of their debut album. In March 2008, Liquid Fire advanced to the state finals of UKM where they stood out with their professional live performance and attitude.
Liquid Fire’s debut album “Trapped” was released on October 27th after an impressive presale, and has already received much praise from critics and fans. The guys, however, do not rest. Of course they will continue their restless work to get even further. The sky is the limit -- and one thing is for certain: Liquid Fire will always give everything and continue to create excellent songs for the whole world to hear.
