Formed in Nov. of 1994, Liquid Image has become an anomaly of sorts in the Atlanta music scene. Liquid Image has been influenced by the atmospheric sounds of The Cure, Joy Division, and Fields of the Nephilim along with the electronic dissonance of NIN, Depeche Mode, and Bjork. Liquid Image has forged a fresh new style in a music world all to familiar with cliché sounds of modern rock. With thier introspective lyrics and fusing of pop sensibilities, Liquid Image has managed to pierce Atlanta's music scene developing a sound all their own: the sound of the future. The creative core of the band is constructed by Mike Sidner, Joshua Charles and Austin Selberg. With thier strong dedication they successfully compose and record all thier music. Liquid Image continues to capture thier audiences with visual and aural stimulation. In live situations the band sometimes is accompanied by guest musicians, which add to the wall of sound. Throughout Liquid Image's history the band has played numerous headlining and supporting shows in the South Eastern club circuit, including The Masquerade, the Point, and MJQ to name a very few. Thier enthusiasm to perform music secured them an alternate slot for the first Atlantis conference in 1996.
Apart from the live aspect of music Liquid Image has conducted a healthy number of interviews, press reviews, studio segments, and air play on a variety of radio stations in the South East.
In October of 2002, Liquid Image went to Elocia Records to start work on the new album "PULSE". In May of 2003, the 7 song CD was completed. On June 26th of that same year, Liquid Image had thier CD release party opening for 80's ledgends Modern English at the Masquerade in Atlanta, Ga. As the Cd got distributed (Tower Records, Criminal Records, HMV, etc.) word spread throught out Atlanta and the South East about the band. As a result the "PULSE' cd has found homes in fans stereos and in the hands of many local club and DJ's rotations. With the strong support of the CD the Band in a six month period has gone on to open for National and International acts such as: God Head, Negative Format, God Module, Modern English, The Cruxshadows, The LAst Dance. The List Goeth On.
Liquid Image, in third-quarter 2005, is coming out of hibernation with a new lineup, a new philosophy, and a new, harder-edged EBM sound. Expect even better things from one of Atlanta's longest-running elctronica outfits.
Currently, Mike Sidner and Josh Broughton have joined forces with Jeremy Herskowitz in a project called OPAQ FACE HTTP://www.myspace.com/opaqface
Who in 2007 released "the BuzzKiLLeD" Ep, which has gathered great acclaim on the international underground circut via fans,Dj's, and promoters.
