Liquid Sound Studios (LSS), A division of the Liquid Recording Group, is a professional recording studio and production company located fifteen minutes outside Louisville, Kentucky in beautiful Southern Indiana. We offer professional results at low costs to our clients and provide a full range of gear from analog outboard processing, to drum kits and exotic vintage guitars and amplifiers. LSS offers full production of services -- from tracking, editing, mixing to mastering. We now offer a six thousand square foot rehearsal hall with front of house and can also provide back line upon request. This space offers maple hardwood floors with thirty-foot ceilings and unbelievable acoustics. You would have to travel miles away to find competing quality and professionalism at our prices.
We utilize today's cutting edge digital technology with a combination of new and vintage analog equipment. Everything is processed first through our forty-eight channel analog console. We have added a 24 track MCI JH-16 2 inch tape machine and our initial tracks can be cut on analog tape and then transfered into any digital format for editing and mixing.
Producer / engineer Tyler Morrison has worked with some of the best in the music business. The likes of record producers Clyde Brooks - (studio drumming legend), Jeff Tomei - (Smashing Pumpkins, Matchbox 20, Collective Soul), Greg Archilla - (Matchbox Twenty, Collective Soul, Safety Suit) and David Z - (Prince, Johnny Lang, Kenny Wayne Shepard). Engineers such as Peter Coleman - (a mainstay at Treasure Isle Recorders in Nashville,TN) and Tom Baker - (Stone Temple Pilots, Hoobastank, Beastie Boys, Ray Charles, Rascal Flatts, Sevendust).
Liquid Sound Studios is home to our own publishing company that is affiliated with the largest publishing company in the world, BMI New York. Audio education is also a part of Liquid Sound Studios. We offer non - credit courses through Indiana University that meet two hours each week for a period of four weeks. These classes offer each student time at the console and the opportunity to work along side engineer, Tyler Morrison. Individual workshops are offered for those who like one - on - one personal attention.
