Liquid Thin was founded when guitarist/vocalist Isaiah James moved to the midwest from Los Angeles and started collaborating with drummer Chris Hill. It didnt take Hill and James long performing small shows wherever they could to start building a larger and larger fan base. Shortly after, they added (now former) bassist Treavor Anthony to fill out the low end. In the bands 2 year history they have created an incredible pace, already making friends and playing with national acts such as Joe Firstman(carson daly show), Robert Randolph, Ben Kenney& DJ Killmore(incubus), rehab, Days of the New, Kamasi Washington & Steve Bruehner(snoop dogg), Darius Rucker(Hootie and the blowfish), and more. The band has played all different shapes and sizes of gigs ranging from coffee houses, packed clubs, arenas, 14,000 people festivals to singer James playing on Last Call with Carson Daly to millions of late night tv watchers. In early 2009, the band decided to anatomize and reconvene as a 4 piece rather than a trio. Charles Sanders II, a gifted and experienced jazz pianist who had joined the band on occasion in their live lineup, now uses his talent as a full time member of the band playing both solid bass lines and creative keyboard arrangements. Adding a little more flavor atop this already tasty trio is soloist Bill Smith on saxophone. This Pittsburgh native proves to be a testament to the bands ever evolving live sound. Adding some extra emotion in a ballad or a slick counter melody in a powerful groove, he provides yet another element for Liquid Thin fans to appreciate. In this short amount of time Liquid Thin has been there and done it, proving that in any situation they will bring the one thing they know best..an incredible live show and always more than enough soul. Liquid Thin is a fusion rock band that prides themselves on presence, energy and showmanship while still maintaining poise and professionalism. The incorporation of jazz, soul, blues, and hip-hop feels enables the band to show many different facets and emotions throghout the live show.
