So many artists but here are a few: Chemical Brothers, Underworld, Smiths, Matt Johnson (The The), Devo, Freestylers, Krafty Kuts, James Brown, Derrick Carter, DJ Touche, Dub Pistols, Cocteau Twins, Leftfield, Orbital, United Future Organization, Dandy Warhols, William Orbit, Beastie Boys, Elliot Smith, Rennie Pilgrem, Paul Oakenfold, Desmod Dekker, Bob Marley, Groove Armada, Radiohead, Thomas Newman, Global Communication, Norman Cook, Primal Scream, Lou Rawls, Biggie, Herbie Hancock, Brand New Heavies, Rakim, Can, David Bowie, the Rolling Stones, Beatles, etc. I could go on for days here because there are so many talented, innovative and downright awesome artists but those are a few that really touched me.
Welcome! I'm DJ Liquid Todd: host, programmer, producer, consultant, troublemaker, etc. I really love music so I've pretty much found the perfect job: finding the best music on the planet and then playing it for (hundreds of) thousands of people on the radio!
I host shows and help program four different channels at Sirius Satellite Radio. At Sirius, I created a channel called Boombox/34 - a fun, funky radio station which features breakbeats, mashups, remixes and bootlegs. It rocks. I also helped launch Chill/35 - the best chillout station in the nation. My latest creation is an underground rock show called ZEROS+ONES which airs Saturday nights 10pm-Mid EST on Left of Center/26. Playlists are posted on the Left of Center page at www.sirius.com and on my site, www.liquidtodd.com
My latest contribution to the truly wonderful thing called Sirius is hosting the new Paul Oakenfold: Perfecto on Tour show on Area 33. Details, as always, at www.sirius.com
I've been working on major market radio stations for almost 15 years. Most recently I co-hosted the ALTERED STATE show with El Covino on 103.5 WKTU. ALTERED STATE was kind of a continuation of my previous radio show, SOLID STATE, which aired Saturday nights on 92.3 K-Rock for eight years from 1997-2005. SOLID STATE was cancelled - along with the rest of the specialty shows - when K-Rock changed formats in March 2005. ALTERED STATE - which went off the air in October 2006 - has its own MySpace page. Hopefully El Covino and I will find a new home for our mixshow on the New York airwaves. Check here for updates!.
In addition to my radio stuff I do a little writing, am very active in progressive political issues and like to hang with my dog, Shadow. I also tour quite a bit - playing clubs, festivals and raves. A lot of my touring is done with Paul Oakenfold - one of the biggest DJs in the world and a real swell fella too. I tour with Paul all over the USA, Canada, Mexico and South America. You just can't beat being paid to play music for people on a large, very loud sound system. I highly recommend it. My main website - which has more information than you'd ever want to know about me - is www.liquidtodd.com
You're still my FAV and I just want you to know that Harry, at 16 months, was literally boppin' in his carseat to Boombox twice this week, so, you're helping me mold his music tastes ;) Miss you much!

As ubiquitous as "One Week" got to be, I'm going to have to defend the Ladies. They have a nice, unpretentious, and laid-back live show and some great acoustic tracks :)
Thank you very much for the nice comment! And an even bigger THANK YOU for keeping me sane on ridiculously long Continental flights! You pick some great music to feature!
