that being said, i love my life and i want it all.
freedom AND the deepest connections possible. sometimes i am overwhelmed by how much i love the spirit of the universe, this life and the people in it and i choke on gratitude, other days i think people are stupid and have an over-all distaste for humanity. try to follow my heart fearlessly. am intimidated by the sound of my own voice, but sing anyway. had horses for half my life and started my own business giving riding lessons when i was 12. at 16 i worked at a place called rhinestone cowboy and sold cowboy boots to the glam rock boys who shopped at rasputin records next door. i loved that job mostly because i could sit on the sales counter, smoke marlboros and chat about life with an old cowboy named jack who had rattlesnake heads on his hat. was once "diagnosed" as being manic depressive by an insecure therapist with a geometric hair-cut? all she ever did was bum cigarettes from me and never bothered to ask the real questions, i think she had her own diagnosis.
stoner rock girl. followed by 4 years singing in a black spiritual choir in east oakland. studied opera, did vocals on a movie soundtrack and some punk albums, collected a check for singing in church and for LA opera, joined an experimental music revolution in east LA. have worn many costumes, splattered blood on my face and screamed, sputtered and wailed like diamanda en espanol in galleries all over los angeles. covered albums from heart to budgie, and now i have picked up a guitar, learned a few chords and am singing sweet and dirty alt-country love songs, who knows what's next?
i hope to someday be an old lady with a rich history, a truest til-the-whells-fall-off-and-we-are-both-old-and-crazy love, a heart with many scars, an extensive life education, bright red lipstick and
