    Lisa Ann's Interests
GeneralBooks, books and, oh yeah, books. But seriously, I am a big reader, I write, but I also love music, art--I sculpt and enjoy looking at other people's art--and playing with my dog, hanging out with my husband and friends. There's more about me on my website: www.lisaannsandell.com
MusicM. Ward, Gordon Lightfoot, Bob Dylan, The White Stripes, Nick Drake, Annie Lennox, Bruce Springsteen, The Lovin' Spoonful, Clem Snide, Smokey Robinson, Johnny Cash, The Cure, David Bowie, Dolly Parton, Elvis Costello, The Flaming Lips, The Lovin' Spoonful, Nina Simone, Nico, Ray Charles, The Smiths, Tom Waits, U2, Velvet Underground, Willie Nelson, and I'm sure there are so many others that I just can't think of right now.
TelevisionThe Office, 30 Rock, Arrested Development, Project Runway, and, no, I'm not ashamed to admit it, I have a weakness for crime dramas!
BooksThis list is insanely long, and I don't even know where to begin. Atonement by Ian McEwan, Gilead by Marilynne Robinson, Love that Dog by Sharon Creech, Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson, Ella Minnow Pea by Mark Dunn, A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man by James Joyce, The Same Sea by Amos Oz, Boy Meets Boy by David Levithan, South Beach by Aimee Friedman, Nobody Was Here and The Pity Party both by Alison Pollet. That's a short list. More to come!

It's all creative writing and english. I want to be a fiction writer. All my classes will be based on that, and then I'm going to go into publishing and editing. I want to try and finish the novel I'm writing before I go to school in the fall.

I'm hoping summer comes along fast, but I am also dreading it in a way. With summer ends high school, and then all I have to think about is University, which I am completely afraid of. Going into Professional writing. :)
A new book? Well I can't wait to read it!

I think it would make an awesome novel! I started a short story based on Arthurian legend. Right now it's on the back burner. I'd be thrilled if you wrote a book over the Lady of the Lake! Do you have any books in the works?

Hey Lisa Ann,

Just wanted to say THANKS for your support with my first novel and let you know that my next book, GIRL OVERBOARD, just came out. I hope you like it as much as you did Nothing but the Truth (and a few white lies). Let me know. I really want to hear! And most importantly, I want to hear what you're working on now. (I’m also co-sponsoring the Go Overboard Challenge Grant to fund the best youth-led ideas to change the world: www.burton.com/GoOverboardGrant.)

I love them too. I would say my favorite character would be either the Lady of the Lake or Elaine. would you consider writing one over the Lady of the Lake?

Hi Lisa,

2-dimensionally challenged? Couldn't you get a payout on your health insurance for that?

I think I'll stick with writing - I have a delete key for my mistakes. Dread to think of the glue I'd go through if I made the same number of mistakes with a chisel as I do with a keyboard!

All the best for 2008, Lisa,
Steve

Hi Lisa,

Thanks for friending.

Books, books, books... and scuplting. Now that I've never tried. I've always thought it would be fun, but I have to admit, I always dash straight for the paintings at galleries (big Monet and Kandinsky fan).

Anyway, nice to meet you.

Libraries are Boring in December.

So, I'm sitting at my desk ostensibly working, listening to Pandora, and sipping THE BEST FREAKIN' HOT CHOCOLATE IN THE WORLD. It kinda burns, but the best things in life are just a little painful, right?

lol ;)
